22-23 April, 2017. The Irish Surf Festival, Sligo, Ireland.

Shore Shots is a two-day festival of surf films, art, inspiring talks & photography

Now in its fifth year, the festival sold out all shows in its first three years at the Light House Cinema in Dublin before moving west to Sligo, the natural home of surfing. Shore Shots also held screenings in Donegal, Portrush and at the international Surf Summit in Mayo and Sligo as part of the Summit tech conference two years running. This is no sporting event, nor is it a spectators’ event; it’s an immersive exploration of art; where cutting edge creatives, filmmakers and photographers champion the guts and energy of global adrenaline junkies, addicted to catching the biggest waves on this planet.

In 2017, the festival returns to Sligo Along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, This stretch of coastline is a mecca for surfers and creatives, home to some of Ireland’s biggest waves including Mullaghmore and a flourishing surf community in Strandhill. It is a home to the creatives who have chosen to live their lives on this dramatic and unfolding Northwesterly edge of Ireland.

We’ve partnered with environmental groups and registered charities as well as some of the most exciting new businesses in Ireland.
